REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR FOREIGNERS

1. HIGH SCHOOL
DIPLOMA
  • orginal of the high school diploma with apostille or legalization - it must be transalted into Polish by a sworn transaltor,
  • IB diploma, or EB diploma – it must be translated into Polish by a sworn translator
2. LEGALISATION
OF STAY
  • a visa or a residence card or another document entitling to stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland
3. LANGUAGE
  • a document / certificate confirming the knowledge of English language at B2 level (applies to candidates for studies conducted in English) it must be it must be transalted into Polish by a sworn transaltor
  • a document / certificate confirming the knowledge of the Polish language at B2 level (applies to candidates for studies conducted in Polish) it must be it must be transalted into Polish by a sworn transaltor
  • in the absence of the above-mentioned documents, the candidate takes the English or Polish language test at B2 level (according to the recruitment schedule)

4. HEALTH
INSURANCE
  • a document confirming the possession of a health insurance policy or the European Health Insurance Card for a given academic year, or coverage of general health insurance within the meaning of the provisions of the Act of 27 August 2004 on health care services financed from public funds), or confirmation of coverage by the insurer of costs treatment in the territory of the Republic of Poland
5. CERTIFIED
DOCUMENTS
TRANSLATION
  • international qualification certificates obtained outside of Poland (except for the International Baccalaureate diploma and the European Baccalaureate certificate) it must be authenticated with apostille or legalised
  • IB diploma or EB diploma –it must be translated into Polish by a sworn translator
  • every document issued in a language other than Polish has to be enclosed with a scanned copy of its certified translation into Polish by person entered into the registry of sworn translators

STEP 1 ONLINE
REGISTRATION
  • create an account on the recruitment portal of the Katowice School of Technology
  • activate the account with the link sent to your e-mail address
  • fill in the recruitment form
  • apply for the chosen field of study
STEP 2 APPLICATION
FEE
  • pay the enrollment fee to the individual account number assigned to the candidate's data
STEP 3 DOCUMENTS
  • add an electronic photo necessary to prepare a student ID (size in points: 236x295 px)
  • add orginal of the high school diploma with apostille or legalization - it must be transalted into Polish by a sworn transaltor or IB diploma or EB diploma – it must be translated into Polish by a sworn translator
  • add the confirmation of payment of the application fee
  • a document / certificate confirming the knowledge of English or Polish language at B2 level (in the absence of a document, the candidate takes the test)
  • add a visa or a residence card or another document entitling to stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland
  • add proof of healthinsurance
  • add translations of all the above-mentioned documents (translated into Polish by a sworn translator)
STEP 4 THE RESULT
  • after completing the above-mentioned activities (step 1-3), the Recruitment Committee decides to enter on the list of students
  • wait for an invitation to the Recruitment Office to complete the formalities

Come to the meeting at the appointed time at the Recruitment Office (Katowice ul. Rolna 43).
To sign the contract, you will need:

  • orginal of the high school diploma with apostille/legalization or IB diploma or EB diploma (for inspection)
  • a visa or a residence card or another document entitling to stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland (for inspection)
  • ID card or other document confirming the identity (for inspection)
  • 2 biometric evidence photographs (3.5cm x 4.5cm)
  • a document /certificate confirming the knowledge of English or Polish language at B2 level (for inspection)
  • translations of the documents into Polish (for inspection)
  • a person admitted to the field of Nursing, after signing the contract, receives a referral for a medical examination (a medical certificate containing a statement that there are no contraindications to study in the selected field, issued by an occupational medicine doctor, must be delivered within the time limit set by the Katowice School of Technology)

STUDIES CONDUCTED IN POLISH OR ENGLISH

STUDIES: MEDICINE

The acceptance threshold takes into account the limit of admissions given to University of Technology in Katowice based on an ordinance of the Minister of Health on the limit of admissions to the medical and medical-dental field of study.

Matriculation results of people with foreign certificates as well as the results from the EB diploma and IB diploma will be converted into qualification points according to the rules contained in the Resolution of the Senate of the University of Technology.

The Admissions Committee makes a ranking list of candidates in the order of the number of qualification points awarded.

Candidates who have EB or IB diploma or a certificate or foreign high school diploma are required to provide proof of passing a mtriculation examination from biology (compulsory subject) and the second subject in the following order: chemistry, physics, mathematics.

The maximum number of points that can be obtained is 100 points per subject.

Candidates who have no matriculation examination in the subject of biology (required) or a second subject: chemistry, physics, mathematics, take a university placement examination from the following: biology (required) and a second subject – chemistry at the advanced level of a maturity examination and will be qualified based on the results from said placement examination.
